DOJ: Philippines should comply with ICC’s arrest order for Dela Rosa under principle of reciprocity

 The Philippine government has no choice but to comply once an arrest warrant is issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, a Department of Justice (DOJ) official said on Tuesday.

In a press conference Tuesday, chief state counsel Dennis Chan explained that although the ICC could not legally compel the Philippines to comply due to its withdrawal from the Rome Statute, the principle of reciprocity governs relations among nations.
